Went to watch The Lake House over this weekend. Honestly, don't really like the movie. Its long, draggy and ultimately DUHZ!!!! And can you believe i actually watch the movie twice this weekend!!! but the second time was a treat from that fat creature (or rather 2 fat creatures) so take it that i went for free air con and a very comfortable chair. i'm not gonna write spoilers but i do have some questions for people who already watched it.
1. i understand how the past can change the future, but how can future change the past. If i put a note a box, how can i travel 2 years back in time. it can stay for two years but its not a two way thing. if i open a mailbox in 2006, i don't really think it'll open in 2004 like shown in the movie. its not logical
2. How can a tree suddenly appear out of nowhere. if it was planted in 2004, it'd already be there in 2006, and not magically apear while Sandra Bullock was running home. If you say its cause he planted it at exectly the same time but just 2 years ago, why is it that she remember dancing and kissing the 'random' guy even though Keanu havent had that dance with her(in Keanu point of view). Why that inconsistancy?
3. How can she magically change the future just like that. in the last part, she knowing he is dead, wrote a note for him to wait another two years cause she know he is gonna die that day. He read it and avoided the accident and then magically shows up next to Sandra Bullock. So does that mean everyone's memory of keanu dying in 2006 was magically erased or did she magically went into another timezone.
Alternatively, you can ignore all these discrapencies and enjoy the show and not ask so many questions. I'm obviously not that romantic type and dun really like that kind of fantasy.
P.S: If someone write to me from the future, the 1st thing i'll ask is what 4D will be out or which shares will rise or who'll win the world cup and not ask her to take a stupid walk with me. And if i see a mailbox opening like that, i'd head for the hills! Its the seventh month for crying out loud!!!!!
